John From Cincinnati
Television July 29th, 2007
I am sitting here watching John From Cincinnati wondering why I keep watching it every week. I think at this point I have put enough time into it that I deserve for the show to make sense. The high point of last week’s episode was a character played by Saved By The Bell’s
Mark-Paul Gosselaar. This week involves a lot of Shaun Yost so it is sure to include a lot of short dialog and awkward pauses. Everyone is so upset by the prospect of Shaun dying, but I’m not sure who would notice. He is an adolescent robot surfer. Also, if Butchie is off drugs, why does he still look so dirty? At one point does his hair get clean?

This is destined to become a cult because it’s so bad. There may be a lot behind the boring insignificance of the screen actions but it is all in the mind of the writer/producer. I am sure that if I pay attention and concentrate I’ll figure out a meaning but I also could figure out a meaning for the number of seeds in a watermelon. At least with the watermelon I get to enjoy it. I watched two episodes; two too many.
