Hmm, I saw this movie in Myrtle Beach as well. I remember liking it (the movie...not my time in Myrtle Beach), although I was a little upset that my sister thought that Ben Stiller in high school looked like me in high school. I made my wife watch it recently, and I was struck by how much Ben Stiller looked like me in High School. My wife didn't know me in high school, luckily.

That's funny. I too saw the movie somewhere down south and didn't like it. That whole day, the whole week was a downer and the movie didn't help--except for the dog scenes--but recently, I re-watched the last 3/4s and enjoyed it. The Farrely's concoct scenes w/o retribution: eg., there are no after effects from the time in jail. Or from the hook in the mouth. So each scene can develop and any after effects may or may not have any influence on later scenes. That bothered me the first time I saw it, but not this time.
