I was watching the game and found it surprising and out of character. Bird was a trash talker; I don't know about Dr. J, who seemed above it all. Before Dr. J there was no real swooping above the basket game and Dr. J made it look classy. Bird must've gotten to him. Those days the Cs and 76ers, along with Magic/Jabbar lakers were the class of the league. The 76ers faded quickly, after only one championship, the famous "Fou, fou, fou" year, although they were so much better than that, they should've won at least three. Bird and magic were able to drive their teams. Those Cs won 3 and the Lakers 5. The Cs had poor coaching and the Lakers had Riley, who is pretty good.
